In this Zoom learning webinar - we follow the case of RUTH a 40 something client who presents to my nutrition clinic with IBS-C (constipation) symptoms and muscular aches and pains which are becoming problematic in her day to day life.
I pose the question – have you ever considered a private stool test to shed light on whether a disordered gut microbiome is driving these symptoms? Ruth is keen to give anything ago as the muscular aches are now preventing her day to day routine and her ability to exercise.
We use a test by Genova Diagnostics called GI Effects. This test allows us to understand, with that the presence and overgrowth of harmful bacteria is indeed contributing to the inflammation which she is experiencing. This data allows me to create a diet and supplement protocol which entirely suits Ruth’s needs as an individual.
During this workshop I will be talking through Ruth’s symptoms more fully, her test results will be explained (these are often a minefield when first observed) and we will consider dietary changes and the supplements which work well to reduce negative bacteria, replenish the gut microbiome and reduce inflammation. This is also a great example of how self-prescribing supplements can contribute further to gut health issues.
Supplements to consider include options by Invivo, G and G vitamins, CytoPlan, Allergy Research and BioCare.
Why join this webinar?
Maybe you are a nutrition student or a recently qualified nutritionist and are looking to enhance your knowledge in this area. Gain practice working through a case from start to finish. Understand more about how to read Functional stool testing data.
Or perhaps you are experiencing health issues yourself and would like to explore the option of Functional Testing to understand more about your gut related problem (some technical language is involved but don't let this put you off).
I have put together a series of educational Zoom sessions which follow REAL cases. This is number 4. With my client’s permission (of course all personal details have been modified) I will talk you through the potential driving factors of chronic IBS and through the strategies used with this individual client up until the point of resolution.
There’s always more to learn on the intriguing topic of the Microbiome.
The Zoom link will be sent to the email address which you register with 24 hours before the webinar.
I hope to see you there.
