Against the beautiful backdrop of Sussex vineyards, I am welcoming you to share an evening of healthy chat on common questions which crop up in the world of nutrition. These include the potential health benefits of wine, the advantages of buying organic and whether locally grown foods are better for us. We will discuss locally produced foods and how to incorporate them into your diet. There will also be a focus on the use of supplements, when and how they offer support to the diet and reputable local brands.

Guests will receive a complimentary glass of Albourne Estate wine, plant-based nibbles based on local foods and a food demo. The bar will be open for further refreshments with the opportunity to purchase bottles too.

Common questions which we will cover, though I am open to more. If you’d like to come please do book a ticket and email me with your top nutrition related query.

·        Why buy organic/ why buy local?

·        Is wine healthy?

·        Lots of people avoid eggs? Are eggs a healthy food choice?

·        Should I take supplements are there any benefits to anti-ageing?

The question of wine is an interesting one. A glass of wine appears on the Mediterranean diet pyramid, the shepherd population of one of the famous Blue Zone - Sardinia - drink wine daily and live well into their 100’s but also alcohol is one of the main drivers of chronic disease. So where does this leave us? We will discuss this exact point while enjoying a glass of Albourne wine.

I have a local veg box producer coming to talk us through her product and also I will be demonstrating the wonders of Collagen by a local supplement company called Ancient and Brave.

As my specialism is all about ‘longevity’ I love to talk through the wonders of collagen. It is the most abundant protein in the body and is naturally found in skin, cartilage and bones. As we age collagen levels naturally decline which may affect mobility, skin elasticity and lead to visible signs of ageing.

If you have an interest in any aspect of nutrition but especially anti-ageing, organic food, buying local or just fancy an interesting evening with like minded people then do grab yourself a ticket as there is a lot to learn.

Tickets are £20, include a glass of locally produced wine and there will be free-bees to leave with.
